La National Public Radio (NPR) es una organización independiente publica sin fines de lucro de estaciones de radio públicas de EE.UU. La NPR fue creada en 1970 después de la aprobación del Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 que estableció la Corporation for Public Broadcasting que también creo la Public Broadcasting Service en el ámbito de la televisión.

Como sus competidores American Public Media y Public Radio International la NPR produce y distribuye programación informativa y cultural. No se requiere de parte de las estaciones miembros transmitir todos los programas y es usual que las estaciones publicas de radio transmitan programas de los tres proveedores.
