Debido a que Nottingham está en el centro de Inglaterra, esta estupendamente bien comunicado con el resto de ciudades importantes de Inglaterra y Reino Unido por ferrocarril y autopistas, además el aeropuerto Aeropuerto de East Midlands se encuentra a menos de 30 minutos en coche, este aeropuerto dispone de conexiones diarias con multitud de destinos en Reino Unido, Irlanda y Europa.

Leyenda de Robin Hood

Nottingham es famosa por la leyenda de Robin Hood, que apareció por primera vez durante la Edad Media. Se supone que Robin Hood vivió en el Bosque de Sherwood, al norte de la ciudad, siendo el Sheriff de Nottingham su gran enemigo. Aún cuando lo más probable es que se trate de simplemente una leyenda en gran medida, la figura del encapuchado ha sido explotada sabiamente por el ayuntamiento y comerciantes locales para atraer turismo.
