Phrack es un ezine escrito por y para hackers en inglés publicada por primera vez el 17 de noviembre de 1985.[1] La revista está abierta a contribuciones de cualquiera que desee publicar trabajos notables o expresar ideas originales en temas de interés. Tiene una amplia circulación que incluye hackers y profesionales de la informática.[2]

Inicialmente los artículos trataban temas relacionados con phreaking, hacking de sistemas telefónicos, anarquía y cracking,[1] aunque también publica artículos sobre un amplio rango de temas incluyendo seguridad informática y física, hacking, criptografía y noticias internacionales.

Taran King y Knight Lightning lanzaron el primer número el 17 de noviembre de 1985. Inicialmente fue distribuida en BBS en formato ASCII, formato que ha conservado hasta la actualidad.

Phrack es una de las publicaciones con mayor reconocimiento en el mundo hacker junto a 2600 Hacker Quarterly.
