Portland Branch Railway

El Portland Branch railway era una ferrovía localizada en la Isla de Pórtland, en el condado de Dorset, Inglaterra. La línea funcionó desde finales del siglo XIX hasta cerrar a los pasajeros en 1952 y al transporte de bienes en 1965. Considerando que se trataba de una línea corta, tuvo una historia compleja, construida en tres secciones y operada conjuntamente por dos compañías rivales. Su construcción necesitó doce años de abrirse paso en la roca sólida y demandó tres prórrogas de tiempo.
