Calle principal de Presteigne.

Presteigne era la capital del condado histórico de Radnorshire, Gales en el Reino unido. Se encuentra en las autoridades unitarias de Powys. Por su cercanía a Inglaterra es conocida como la Puerta de Gales. Por la ciudad pasa el río Lugg.

En 1875 se abrió la vía férrea que pasa por la ciudad,[1] [2] y el servicio de pasajeron duró hasta 1951, y el de mercancías hasta 1961.[3]

Cultura

La ciudad es un importante centro cultural que alberga diferentes actividades, como el Sheep Music Festival dedicado a la música contemporánea[4] o el Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts.[5]
