Establecida en 1999, Q-Cells es una empresa alemana y uno de los fabricantes más grandes del mundo en paneles fotovoltaicos. Su negocio principal es el desarrollo, producción y comercialización de célula fotovoltaicas.[1]

Sus inicios se datan de 2002 desde entonces ha crecido rápidamente y su plantilla ha superado los mil empleados en las localidades de Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sajonia-Anhalt, Alemania.

Q-Cells trabaja desarrollando sus tecnologías en celdas con la ayuda de asociaciones e inversiones en distintos países.[2]
