En la mitología cántabra el ramidreju es un animal legendario que nace cada cien años de las comadrejas o de las rámilas. De aspecto delgado y muy largo, posee una piel rayada de color verde, sus ojos son amarillos y tiene un hocico de jabalí del que se vale para excavar profundos agujeros en la tierra similares a los de los topos.

Es muy buscado en Cantabria porque dicen que su piel cura todas las enfermedades y que sirve para encontrar tesoros escondidos.
