Ratatosk o Ratatoskr, que significa "diente taladrador", es, en la mitología escandinava, una ardilla que corre de arriba a abajo con mensajes en el árbol del mundo Yggdrasil y reparte los chismes o mensajes. En particular, lleva los insultos entre el águila Vidofnir y el halcón Veðrfölnir, ambos en la cima de Yggdrasil, hacia el dragón Nidhogg, que se encontraba entre las raíces del árbol, esperando causar guerra entre ellos.
