Tanga es una de las veintiséis regiones administrativas en las que se encuentra dividida la República Unida de Tanzania. Su ciudad capital es la ciudad de Tanga.

Esta región se encuentra subdividida internamente en unos siete distritos a saber:

  • Handeni
  • Kilindi
  • Korogwe
  • Lushoto
  • Muheza
  • Pangani
  • Tanga

Territorio y Población

La región de Tanga posee una extensión de territorio que abarca una superficie de 26.808 kilómetros cuadrados. Además esta región administrativa es el hogar de una población compuesta por 1.642.015 personas. La densidad poblacional es de 61 habitantes por cada kilómetro cuadrado de la región.
