Distinctive Software, Inc (abreviado DSI) fue una compañía especializada en programación canadiense establecida en Burnaby, Columbia Británica por Don Mattrick y Jeff Sember. DSI es el antecesor de EA Canada.

Distinctive Software era mejor conocido en los últimos años 1980 por sus puertos, Videojuego de carreras y Videojuego de deportes distribuidos en mayor parte por Accolade, con quien ellos trabajaron estrechamente.

DSI se hizo conocido por varios títulos. El es sinónimo de juegos de carreras a fines de los años '80s y a principios de los años 90s incluso series como Test Drive y Stunts. La base de codificación para el año 1987 de Test Drive fue repetida no solamente para Test Drive II: The Duel, sino en 1989 en The Cycles: International Grand Prix Racing y en 1988 Grand Prix Circuit.

DSI también hizo juegos de deporte como 4D Boxing, y el segundo título en la serie Hardball.

En 1991, DSI fue comprado por Electronic Arts, y convertido en EA Canada (y en el mayor componente en el futuro de los estudios de EA Sports, en un acuerdo de un valor de US$11 M. Esto también significo un importante golpe en Accolade, que perdió credibilidad y parte del mercado en los años siguientes.

En 1989, programadores Pete Gardner y el "Old Kid" de DSI, debajo del seudónimo USI (Unlimited Software, Inc.) convierten el juego de Sega Arcade Out Run a versión PC-DOS. Por consiguiente, Accolade cargo que DSI infringió un trabajo acordado y demandó.
