Federico Espino Licsi

Federico Espino Licsi es un escritor filipino de lengua española, nacido en Pasig, considerado también como el más prolífico escritor en tagalo.


Carrera

Obtuvo su primer premio en 1967, en un certamen de poesía en lengua tagala organizado por el Instituto Nacional de Lenguas. En 1970 fue citado por el National Press Club como el más importante poeta en lengua tagala. Es también colaborador en diversas publicaciones periódicoas como Free Press. También escribe poesía en inglés. Sus poemarios más importantes en lengua española son Ave en jaula lírica publicado en 1970. En 1974, se publicaron dos colecciones de poemas: Caras y caretas de amor filipino y Latigazos de luz. Le fue concedido el Premio Zóbel en 1978.
