Un Gordon Setter
Gordon Setter es una raza de perro, miembro de la familia Setter que también incluye a los más conocidos Setter Irlandés y al Setter Inglés. El propósito original de la raza era la de cazar aves (como perdices y faisanes, entre otros).
Los Gordon setters tienen un pelaje negro carbón con marcas distintivas de un color café claro o canela en sus patas y en la parte inferior de las piernas, garganta, y hocico; una mancha sobre cada ojo, y dos manchas en su pecho. Son los más grandes de todas las razas Setter, con machos que alcanzan los 70 centímetros en la cruz y llegan a pesar más de 36 kilogramos.
La esperanza de vida para los animales de la raza ronda entre los 10 y los 12 años.
