Pauravas

En la mitología hindú, los Páuravas son los hijos del rey Puru, descendientes de la rama más antigua de la raza lunar, la que dio origen el dios Soma, que reinó en la India con la dinastía solar fundada por Ikshvakú (hijo de Manu).

Los Pauravas son los antepasados comunes de los Pándavas y los Kauravas, protagonistas del texto épico Majábharata.
